Premier League Results 11/01/2020

The surprise of the day for me has definitely come from King Power, what a result for Southampton! The past few games have been little stepping stones leading up to something big like this. People will say "It's only 2-1, whats the big deal?". This same Leicester City team took them apart at the start of the season with ease, they didn't give Southampton a look in for the whole of the game.

This game today from a neutrals point of view was by no means easy for them, but they managed to limit Leicester to 5 shots in the whole game. While doing this they went on and had 16 shots, over three times the amount. Same again for clear cut chances in the game, Leicester 1 and Southampton were 3. This game was definitely one that Southampton were underdogs in from the start. But they believed they would get something out of the game, them when they had the chance they made sure that they took all 3 points, no questions asked.

Manchester United 4-0 Norwich City

Manchester United got the win today also. But i do think that this win is nothing to get excited about going forward. In reality, they have gone and played a team here who were perfect for them. Norwich have been a side all season that no matter who is in front of them, they will try and have a go to score a goal. Where in fact, if they probably sat back today and made it difficult for Manchester united, it may have been a similar story to when they have loads of the ball and struggle to create enough chance to win a game. The main positive from today's game though is the amount of shots Manchester United had on target. In total they managed to have 6, but they also managed to make sure that they got 4 in the back of the net, giving them just over an 80% conversion rate on the day. If it wasn't for Brandon Williams Blast over the bar, this would have been even better.
