A Brief Insight

I felt it was now or never to do this. I decided that people needed the chance to share the views they have on sport with people who actually care. I'm going to aim to keep on top of the blog as much as i can while working a full-time job, but let's see how this goes!

About Me

What You Need to Know

I have played sports all my life from a fairly young age. There have been many times when i really considered taking a job up within sport. This was in fact a thing all the way up until i finished my sports degree at university, until a lot of things started to change my mind.

One of the first things was money! For me, going to work was always going to be about the money i got and not the place i was working at. I soon found out that if i wanted to take a position in sport, i was going to have to start on a low wage and stay there for quite some time. Another factor was also when i realised that what i wanted to do was a very tough field to get into.

This was what i had always wanted to do from a young age. The barriers that are in the way to make this dream possible though just didn't want to go away any time soon. The money to go and get coaching badges was crazy, then the time and travelling that i was going to have to do on top of that was also way more than i could obtain at the time. I understand that many people will say i need to put the time in if i am going to get where i want to be, but i wanted to try and make sure i could live and get a car when i finished university. I felt at the time that a lot more things needed to be put in place to help people like me who wanted to go on and be a coach within football.

What Happened Next?

I soon found out that i wanted to go and start a career. I didn't have a clear idea of what this was going to be, but i did know i wanted to go and do something that would financially make my life easier in the future. I eventually went into sales. This did mean that for the first few months i didn't earn the money i wanted because of training. But then going forward it has proved to be a good move for me, opening up more and more positions across the east midlands with a lot of earning potential.

Me and my girlfriend then decided to move out and rent our own place. This was scary for us both, but we really wanted our own place and really prepare for our lives over the next few years. To some people the place we got wasn't 'amazing' or 'posh' but it was somewhere that we could make home and enjoy when we were not working.

We have now got the the point where this blog website is coming into play. I got to the age of 24 and decided that i wanted to have a go. If it is something that doesn't work, then fine, but i'm going to do the best i can to give everyone the best experience.

All the images above this text are to try and help people see what i'm interested in and what i will hopefully be talking about in the next few months.

Below i have put the 4 things that i want this page to achieve in the next 12 months...
